Bristol Harbour Festival on Saturday 30th July 2011

What a fantastic event, we all had great fun watching some of the wonderful shows available.

We first watched The Iron Man Show by Ted Hughes, this is a show featuring an amazing character the height of a double decker bus.

Then we moved to Queens Square and had some lovely food and  listened to music 

Then we moved on to Castle Park and had the pleasure to watch the Beyond the Bounce Juggling, Boothby Graffoe and Cirque Bijou!!!! fantastic!

Tomorrow there will be more! Hooray !

I just love all the festivals in Summer time, specially the Harbour Festival wich usually has so many attractions for all age groups and is so well organised.

Eu adoro todos os festivais de Verão, especialmente o Festival  do Porto que normalmente tem tantas atrações para todas as faixas etárias e é tão bem organizado.

Wow! Gorillas - Bristol Zoo's 175th birthday year celebration

There are sixty gorilla sculptures all over the streets and parks of Bristol in celebration of Bristol Zoo's 175th birthday year.

Each of the 60 sculptures has been sponsored by organisations, businesses and charities from across the region, and decorated in their own unique style by talented local artists.

Around 100 small gorillas will also pop up all over the region, sponsored and decorated by youngsters from across the city’s primary schools and nurseries.

If you happen to be in Bristol have a look at the map and go Gorilla spoting this Summer.

Wow! Gorilas - celebração dos 175 anos do Zoologico de Bristol

Nas ruas e parques de Bristol estao expostas sessenta esculturas de gorilas para  celebrar o aniversario de 175 anos do Zoologico de Bristol.

Cada uma das 60 esculturas foi  patrocinada por organizações, empresas e instituições de caridade de toda a região, e decorada com um estilo único por talentosos artistas locais.

Ha tambem cerca de 100 gorilas pequenos em toda a região, patrocinado decorados por jovens de todas as escolas primárias da cidade.

Cowley Road Carnival

Oxford's largest outdoor, completely free celebration, for a slice of Oxford's diverse and exciting urban community. 

The South Park was filled with four outdoor stages, family activities, global food stalls, a traders' village, the Carnival Procession and much more. It was good fun.
The Cowley Road Fiesta takes place yearly at the first weekend of July. It is very well organised and really good fun!

No
South Park haviam quatro palcos, atividades familiares, barracas de comida do mundo todo, o desfile de  Carnaval e muito mais. Foi bem divertido.

 O Cowley Road Fiesta ocorre anualmente no primeiro final de semana de Julho. É muito bem organizado e muito divertido!
